More about me
Undergraduate Experiences
I graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2015 with degrees in Mathematical Economics and Equine Science and Management. During my undergraduate career, I was the treasurer of the University of Kentucky Equestrian Team, a resident advisor, and an undergraduate research assistant for the University of Kentucky Center for Poverty Research and Center for Business and Economic Research.
Graduate School Experiences
I graduated from Georgia State University with a PhD in Economics in 2021. In graduate school, I was a research assistant with the Georgia Policy Labs. I evaluated the impact of virtual summer school during COVID-19 and estimated the effectiveness of attendance nudges. In addition to researching and teaching, I mentored undergraduate econ students navigate life-after-college, and I served on the Honors College Scholarship Committee. I also served as the President of the Economics Graduate Student Association from 2018 to 2020 and participated in various leadership workshops throughout the years.
Non-academic Interests
Beyond being a lifelong learner, I am a competitive equestrian, fair-weather runner, novice boxer (on VR), decent chef (thanks to Blue Apron), and fan of Ink Masters, Law and Order: SVU, and Criminal Minds. I enjoy exploring new places, hiking, watching Kentucky basketball (especially in March), attending festivals, doing puzzles, and spending time with friends and family. Chocolate and chai are my kryptonite.
